What, specifically, in the video strikes you as suggesting that Mr. Obama does not have a fair and reasonable disposition to white people?

How dare you suggest that Blacks can harbor racist attitudes towards white folks? Everybody knows that racism is a crime only white folks are guilty of!

Oh look... another bash Obama thread... from a moderator no less.

This quote has been beat to death... I would almost.. ALMOST wish that you guys and gals are right about Obama and he leads us (the USA) down a dark and deep path... It can't be much worse than the one we're on except that maybe people would start to either fear God again or trust God again. Sometime it takes a slap in the face to wake someone up.

Either way, it won't affect me. I will be a Christian waiting on the Lord whether Obama wins or loses....

LadyEagle, I assume you have his books and have done your homework so that you are certain his comments were not taken out of context? Would I be safe in such an assumption? Yes or No?

Most of this "hate the white man" speech is where Obama is quoting what his father said to him. I don't think he espoused this belief himself. Just another hate Obama thread.

How odd that the only time the word "hate" is used in this thread is by an Obama supporter.

I think you, as well as others, know that using the word "hate" in this manner is figure of speech, and should not be taken literally. The Bible itself often uses words like this.

    For example:

Luk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

That is not an answer. Please identify one statement of Mr. Obama's from the video and let's see whether it really supports the implication that Mr. Obama has negative attitudes towards white people.

    You've got my answer.

Deal with it or continue to run from it.

    Your choice.

This "video" has to be one of the worst attempts yet to besmirch Senator Obama. It is clearly a scissors and duct tape job intended to take all kinds of statements out of context and make him say things he never said.

Imagine what some one could do to the Bible if we did something similar. We could make it say anything we wanted.

If it is so clear then you can specifically prove that it is as you say.

Surely that would be a safe assumption. It would seem to be proper to check this things out before posting them in public fora.

Tell you what Rev, feel free to accept it as face value if you wish. So many other hatchet jobs have been exposed here that the truthfulness of any of this genre of politics has so little credibility that I will doubt unless hard evidence, in context, is given.

You said it was "clearly" a hatchet job. I am assuming you can provide evidence to that fact. And I see that you are just one more who becomes up in arms over Obama but stay silent when similar posts are made of others . And just what hatchet jobs have been exposed here? Can you name one or two?

You err. Check my posting history - I do not stay silent when issue or personalities are attacked unjustly.

The most obvious hatchet job is the quote that Sen Obama said he would stand with the Muslims if things got ugly. That quote has had to be corrected to what he did say, that he would stand with Arab and Pakistani Americans should people try to deprive them of their constitutional rights.
