How much food and medical support do the Iraqi's we've killed in Bush's war of agression need?

You chiding anyone about being off-topic borders on side-splitting ironic humor.

I'm not talking about not being able to defend ourselves. I'm talking about maintaining world military supremacy. We spend as much money on our military as the REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED. Why is that necessary?

That's simply not true. Please provide a reference to show that we spend as much as the rest of the world combined.

Also, if you look at spending as a percentage of GDP, we aren't even close to the leader (we are way back in about 27th place).

If we don't have a strong military and national defense and are run over by our enemies, 50 million people not having health insurance will be a moot point.

We should scrap every penny spent on military and we should totally disband the existing military. We must return to honest money and Christians need to become obedient to God.

    James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

What world are you living in?

My hard work earns me honest wages, just what are you suggesting?

God has stated that if you do not keep the watchtowers then the keeper should be stoned. Having a military is in obedience to God.

So you're saying anyone who serves in the military is in rebellion to God?

    This could get interesting...

I am opposed to all standing armies. They will be used against citizens at some point. I am for personal protection. I don't know if I would say a person serving today is in rebellion, but I would say that they are very ignorant. Do you think God will excuse you from murder just because you were told to do it by your government?

Your opinion does not equal Scripture.

Same one as you I think.

Hard currencies are honest because they are hard to manipulate. We use paper currency which has no value. Since man has walked the earth, no paper money system has lasted, fiat money systems always end very badly.

I would say that is open to interpretation. Do you believe that everything that happens to you or your country is sanctioned by God?

I would say that a government that does not protect it citizenry is guilty of murder and is in direct rebellion to God. The same as I state that those that support abortions are murderers.

I believe your posts are blatantly accusing our men and women, of the military, of murder and is very offensive.

    Romans 13:3&4
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Obviously, the OT is rife with examples of military action following God's leadership; this was never done away with.

Since it is you who claims there has been a change...it's up to you to provide the Scripture that would prohibit a Christian from serving in the military.
