    1. Unless specifically prohibited, abortion!

    2. It is not the responsibility of the Federal Govt to provide health care.

    3. There will be no way reasonably to pay for this unending program

    4. The system will be abused by users

    Well said!

    Also...

...if it's so great, let congress go on it.
...it sets up an unfair competition--private insurers (otherwise known as "evil,") have to make money. The government, by law, must lose all the money it can (not really, but it seems that way). Business loses, every time.
...the French like this idea. That's enough by itself.

The mandate, along with the threat of fines and jail time. Along with the fact that the zero thinks absolutely nothing of breaking his promises, and his sheep follow without one word of criticism.

Maybe it is all the backroom wheeling and dealing that even the liberal biased media said to day that was going on behind closed doors.

Maybe it is the fact that several in Congress have called this the skeleton of things to come. That was democrats by the way.

Maybe it is the fact that the majority of Americans are against it.

Maybe it is the fact that "O" is for it.

I object mostly to the perversion of the word, "insurance."

I Believe Obama and Company Should Be Impeached

==Specifics? It is unconstitutional and therefore illegal.

The powers of the Federal Government should be limited by the United States Constitution. I believe the passage of this bill is an impeachable offense. Every senator and congressman/woman who votes for this bill should be impeached because they have violated their oath of office and because they have voted for legislation they have not read in its entirety. If President Obama signs the legislation, he should be impeached for high crimes against the United States Constitution which he swore to uphold.

All the lies and the corruption of the process.

Lied about the cost , coverage, and impact.

They tell the truth and this piece of anti American trash never gets to the floor.

Now that it has passed the Congress and President Obama will sign it, what if this ends up being a good thing for the American people? Will you change your opinion of this legislation?

Is anything in it going to help me pay off about $54,000 to hospitals and medical offices that I owe, most of which was assessed in 2009?

    Moot question.

Won't happen. But we'll still be stuck with a minimum of 3 times the cost the liars said it will be. With less access to treatment and higher insurance premiums, and the cost of medical care will continue to increase. this bill accomplishes none of the stated goals. The only goal it reach is the hidden one. Eventual complete government control of the health insurance industry.

    1. That the government is meddling in an area where they have no Constitutional authority.

    2. Rationing of care

    3. That my family may lose our coverage and have to go to the vastly inferior government plan

    4. That the government has taken away the option of obtaining student loans from private lenders

    5. That it requires citizens to purchase a product and threatens them if they don't.

There are many more, but these are just the top five off the top of my head.

By the way, I was injured this weekend and went to the emergency room. I was in and out in about three hours. In Canada, which has a similiar healthcare system to the one we just adopted,it's an average of four weeks.

No, for the simple reason that even if it does deliver as promised, it's still Unconstitutional.

Now, conversely, what if it turns out that all of the fears about this bill are true? Do Democrats vote to repeal it? Or do they just blame the Republicans and say that it needs more money and more government oversight.

Every Democrat who voted for it will be gone after the next election, so that may be something we want to pursue.

Surely even you don't actually believe this, do you?

Although the republicans were against this bill, actually against Obama period, there are plenty of people in our country that see this as a good thing. I don't think they will be so quick to vote out the people who approved this law.

    You got group insurance?

When this bill goes into effect, watch your premiums increase almost immediately.

Then you can thoroughly enjoy how good it is for you.

I don't necessarily believe you, but we will see. Also, my health care insurance already increases every year.

The difference is that you want it to increase, it feeds your hatred for President Obama. I will wait and see if it increases more next year than it did the last year. Last year it went up 17%. I doubt it is much different next time.

I believe that the Dems will pay dearly at the polls next time around.

Huge deficit spending and more borrowing are not smart when unemployment is above 10%.

Many who voted for Obama had no idea that he was going to blow up the debt like he is.

Robert Snow is an extremely naive person. He thinks the people in Washington are actually out to help poor Americans. Most of the people in Washington are out for one thing - themselves. If this was about helping Americans, if this bill would really help people, why the wheeling and dealing? Why the extreme corruption? Why the threats, why the sweetheart deals? Why did they face flimsy opposition from Dems? If you cannot see this for what it truly is you need to wake up.

For an existing group, your premium is determined primarily by the "experience" ,or actual claims, of the group. When people are added that up your claims, your premium will be raised or the coverage will be reduced, or both. Basic math.

So now imagine how much it will go up when pre-existing conditions by the thousands are thrown in all at once. Treating those won't be free. You'll pay for it, because there are people by the millions that won't buy insurance until they actually need it.

The Obama administration is counting on people to blame this entirely on the "greedy, rich" insurance companies. Just another step in the plan for an eventual takeover of the insurance industry and your healthcare.
