What State or Commonwealth wants to fine parents of obese kids.

    Heard about this yesterday. Seems like an overreach by the state. But then again, some places have the 'soda tax'.

    Well, if the government, either federal or state, can tell you what kinds of clothes you can wear legally then why can't they punish parents who allow their kids to be obese. There is no real excuse for parents who care so little for their kids that they allow them to become obese and ruin their long-term health.

    I do not agree with government fines, but parents that let their kids get in that shape by taking them to McDonalds all the time, letting them play games on the computer constantly, and never making them go outside and play should be horse whipped.
