    He died of old age, it was common for the male to be a number of years older than the female in that culture.

    If memory serves, 50 or 60 was elderly in those days.

    Quite often 40, and still in todays world that is the life expectancy in a number of third world countries :(

    Exodus 13:[18] But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
    [19] And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
    [20] And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.


    Joshua 24:[32] And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.


    Note:
    The PLO have destroyed Joseph's tomb in Shechem and built a mosque.

    LadyEagle!! Too bad the PLO doesn't know "diddly" about the Resurrection! One of these days---Joseph's bones are gonna get up and is gonna "walk all over" the PLO and their feeble belief system!!!
