Soon to be challenged probably by LGBTQ factions are doctrinal issues concerning gender "preferences" and "identity".

e.g. Sooner or later pastors/priests who will not perform same gender marriages will be prosecuted for "hate crimes". Probably post Trump administration.

Churches who refuse to allow LGBTQ folks into membership and/or teaching or leadership positions will be closed for the violation of their civil rights.

I suggest we should consult the Baptist martyrs to see if the name and meaning are important

    That would be problematic.

There are a few Baptist churches that either will sprinkle and/or accept sprinkling for baptism
Free Will Baptist churches in W. VA have given the authority of ordination to the local Association

Many churches are are going to elder rule - and at the most - all they have is an annual meeting.
Otherwise everything is decided and acted upon by the board of elders.

Separation of church and state, simply means that the goverment should not interfere with the actions of the local church.

    Not true Baptists.

There has to be some interference: e.g. Zoning, Building codes, Electrical Wiring, Plumbing, Toilets, Fire regulations, etc...
