Hi Jonathan...I see that you're a Cedarville student! My oldest son Jonathan graduated from there in 2002, and my younger son Justin will be going back in January (as a junior) after sitting out a semester. It's a wonderful school!

I work at a Christian radio station, and have had the opportunity to meet and interview quite a few of the artists.

If you'd like to see some pics, click here.

Josh, I know who Eli is. I've met him personally a few times.

In fact, one of my Eli sightings was one of those cool music moments.

Every year, our radio station http://www.101qfl.com broadcasts its morning show live from the Gospel Music Association convention. We have a booth in the mezzanine of the Renaissance Hotel lobby, and interview Christian music artists all morning long.

A few years ago, we had a couple of the guys from the Christian Celtic band, Ceili Rain, in the booth. The lead singer for Ceili Rain wrote the song "That's All the Lumber" (I'm not crazy about the song, but that's another story), and Ceili Rain first recorded it. Eli later recorded the song and it got a lot of radio airplay as well.

Well, on this particular morning when we were interviewing Ceili Rain, Eli happened to walk by. (That's not the remarkable thing: at GMA, artists are getting interviewed nonstop, and they frequent the hotel). However, Eli tapped o the glass door of our booth to say "hi" to us.

We ended up inviting him in, and since the Caeli Rain guys had a guitar and an accordion, they performed "That's All the Lumber" along with Eli. It was a cool moment! [IMG]

"Woven and Spun" by Nichole Nordeman

I would LOVE to meet Nichole Nordeman. Her music seems like it was written straight from my own heart. I was actually trying to write a song about Who God is to us in each time of our lives, and then I heard "I AM" and I was like.."That's MY song!" She said exactly what I was trying to, only about 400 times better than I could have said it.
