It does not tell us of "continual sacrifice" or of "Continual offering of the sacrifice".

If you read Hebrews carefully, you will notice that Jesus, our High Priest is currently a minister in heaven and has something to offer: his one sacrifice.

And in fact He "offered it ONCE for ALL time".

8 After saying above, "" SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, NOR HAVE YOU TAKEN PLEASURE in them'' (which are offered according to the Law),
9 then He said, "" BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL.'' He takes away the first in order to establish the second.
Christ takes away the first in order to establish the second. Mankind no longer has anything to offer by way of sacrifice in our worship service.

10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Those who argue that unless Christ is offered “continually” we are not sanctified through the offering of His body – are missing this key point. It is “ONCE” for all – offered “once for all” and that is why we can have faith that we are in fact sanctified through it. IF we had to continually offer the sacrifice we would have the same problem as the OT service.

11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;
12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD,

One “Sacrifice for the sins of ALL time” – and it was offered – by Christ Himself – not by man or by 1000’s of priests coming after Christ.
Those humans that choose to stand daily offering the “same sacrifice” are offering that which can “never take away sins” for they are denying the ONE sacrifice by denying the “ONE offering” offered “ONCE for all time”.

13 waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.
14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

By “one OFFERING” not simply by “one sacrifice”. We can no more deny the “ONE offering” than we can the “ONE sacrifice”. To deny either – is to lose both.

15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying,
16 "" THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,'' He then says,
17 "" AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.''
18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Instead of a “continual sacrifice” or a “continual offering” the Bible teaches that there is “no longer ANY offering for sin”.

But of course there is the statement of Hebrews 8 speaking of the establishing of the Heavenly sanctuary service and Christ the ONE high priest who makes ONE sacrifice and offered it in the heavenly sanctuary - ONCE for "all time".

"We have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the sanctuary and the true tent which is set up not by man but by the Lord. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; hence it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer" (8:1-3). [/qb]

He "alone" made the sacrifice - and He "alone" offers it "ONCE for all time".
