No disobedience. Emailed a WOTM authority and he says it’s no sin to go alone.

The motivation for us to do anything for God should be based upon us being accepted in jesus and saved and in a relationship with God, not because we have to in order to not have Him get angry with us, or to somehow keep earning it!

I don't mean disobeying WOTM. I mean disobeying God.

It would be better of you were a disciple of Christ appealing to His authority as expressed through the Church with Christ as its Head instead of being a disciple of men resting in your own authority as expressed through those you choose to follow.

The rich young rulers problem was not simply money.

Again, what does the Bible state on this subject? Seems to me that most of the time God works in and thru the local church!

Yes. Scripture has evangelists only within the context of a church for a reason. We cannot work outside of a biblical context, apart from a church, isolated from the oversight of the congregation and call our work kingdom work. This is a difference between a ministry of God and a man's hobby. God does not bless disobedience.

Made me think of this Biblical passage:
12He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. John 10:12-13

God gifts people to function within a local body. An "evangelist" concerned with planting seeds A part from the flock is a false evangelist and has nothing to do with the Great Commission. I praise God that He may use this for His glory, but at the same time it will not be a blessing to the false preacher.

I used to disagree with you, but respected your desire to evangelize. Now, I do not respect you at all. You have blatantly stated that you ignore the great commission. You are doing more harm than good.

    Sapper,
Could you imagine being an Army Recruiter and signing up new recruits. After they say the Oath of Enlistment (aka sinners prayer) you say good luck and leave.
Or would a good recruiter, make sure his recruits get to MEPS for shipment to BCT to be "discipled" in the Army Life.
And a good solider keeps learning until his ETS.

Have you seen the LIfelock commercials - I would say Evan is NOT the patient , but the other man.

Yep. Just like the couple who had a baby then abandoned him. They said, "If he is really our son he will find his way home."

A parent who did that would be tried for depraved indifferent murder. I wonder what you call a "Christian" who does that?

I wonder if the Lordship of Christ has anything to do with it?

And there goes another moment gone forever.

Go share your faith while you still have time.

I don't share my faith. I obey the Great Commission. All of it.

I preach Christ and Him Crucified.
I preach Baptism of the believer.
    I preach doctrine and growth.

In my Christian life I have served the Lord for over 45 years. In that time I have seen over 1,000 souls come to Christ, be baptized, and be discipled as a result of my labors.

How about you? How many have you seen saved, baptized, and discipled as a result of your labors?

Go obey the Great Commission, all of it, while you still have time.

Jesus said in Mark 1:17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

If someone claims to be a fisherman, and never catches any fish, is he a fisherman or is he just drowning worms?

How can you tell if a person is abiding in Christ?

John 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit.

How can you tell if a person is a true disciple of Christ?

John 15:8 In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.

Yeah, I don't remember where the Bible lays out this theology. Could you please tell me where the Bible says that new converts don't need to be discipled? That they will seek a church and seek help with growing as a Christian by themselves?

Is this some form of hyper-Calvinism?
