This concerns teh gospel message, not the start of the church.

Before this they already did know him and He already did abide with them. They were awaiting the baptism of the Spirit upon the church that was assembled on pentecost that occurred in Acts 2.

Where is it said that "the church" was assembled? (Answer: Nowhere.)

The church was established and organized prior to the death of Christ.

How so? If Spirit baptism is what constitutes the church (1 Cor 12:13), and if Spirit baptism is still future in the gospels (Matt 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16; Acts 1:5ff.), and if Spirit baptism happens for the first time in Acts 2, then how did the church begin before that? In other words, how did the church begin before the thing that created the church happened?? It doesn't makes sense.
