Typically a person or family leaves a Baptist assembly over more personal issues rather then those concerning doctrine. Such separation should always occur if there is decidedly doctrinal departure by the assembly.

In this thread, the question is raised when a whole assembly should remove from agreement with other assemblies, or from the association, or even a convention?

When should an assembly no longer be gathered as a Baptist Church?

Also, when should a gathering of assemblies remove a member church from being a cooperative member?

Historically, is there any precedence, any prior examples from which to give guidance?

Purposely leaving the questions as open as possible to encourage the largest range for expressions.

What is your thinking about assembly separation?
