I live in the south-east corner of Tennessee in the USA. About five miles outside of Cleveland (TENNESSEE... no way my accent is from Ohio), just above Chattanooga.

    Howdy, neighbor!

And howdy to you, other neighbor!

Knoxville? Then you go straight up I-75. You would have to take the first Cleveland exit (#20) and then take the Hwy 64/Ocoee exit off of the bypass to head in my direction.

Of course, you could drop in on TomVols while you are in Knoxville. :D

By the way, I always liked the name of that little town near you called Ootelwah. Love those old Indian names!

We've got a lot of them around here. Ocoee, Etowah, Hiawassee, Chillhowie, Chattahoocie (yep, that is a real river). If you go on up Highway 64 you go up into the Cherokee National Forest.

We've got them around here, too: Dahlonega, Ohoopee, Nantahayla, Chestatee, Cartecay, Ellijay, etc. They are just fun to say!

Yes, but only Pennsylvania has Intercourse, Blue Ball, Paradise, Bird in Hand, Jim Thorpe, and two New Salems.

Paducah, Kentucky. The Tennessee River ends at the Paducah Riverfront, and merges with the Ohio River. The city is at the far end of Western Kentucky, 140 miles from Nashville, 165 miles from St. Louis, 175 miles from Memphis and 220 miles from Louisville.

Around here, though, we're fond of saying we're located halfway between Monkey's Eyebrow and Possum Trot. They're real places, look 'em up.

I think it was Michigan, before some amalgamation took place, had a town called Hell.

    Cheers,
