    Hello Jim1999,
We live about 40 miles from Llanelli, and go there shopping a couple of times a year. There is a travelling preacher who lives there by the name of David Morgan. David is a travelling preacher and goes around the country, and I believe many other countries, pitching his tent and preaching the Gospel - wow! when he`s preached you know he`s preached. When he is near to us, about 2 fields away, I try to go every night to hear the Word. When he is in a particular area, he also goes round the doors, and places tracts, The tent is always well attended, and he calls me his `agent` as when I know he`s coming, I let people know. There is always a sermon in the tent, and several Sankey hymns are sung... without accompaniment, His wife Lily leads the singing, in the next couple of weeks, he will do his "December call-backs" when he comes to deliver calendars to as many of the tent congregation as he can, leaving a load of them with me to give out. Jon, I have no idea how the frozen cat manages that trick. I just know he/she does when I sing

To quote the classic Warner Bros cartoon "I DON'T KNOW HOW YAS DONE IT...BUT I KNOWS YA DONE IT!" [IMG]

    Hello Gwyneth,

Yes, I believe you are at Pembroke Dock, if I remember correctly.

I left Llanelli in 1945. I have been back for a visit. I have a few relatives in Swansea, but we mostly go to London, then up to middlelands and north to Liverpool and Sheffield. We had planned to retire to London but sold our estate two years ago and settled in Canada. We are virtually tourists in the UK now. I have a good friend in Ebbe Vale,,Have you ever heard the Ebbe Vale Male Choir? Cor Meibion Glyn Ebwy.

It sounds like David Morgan has a wonderful gift of preaching, and a great ministry. You are a winderful asset to his tent meetings, to be sure. God bless you. May the Holy Spirit spread his power all over Wales and bring back those great revival years.

In the early days, one sat according to voice in the churches, and it was always a marvellous thing.

God bless and give you the increase of His Spirit as you toil for Him.

    Cheers,

    Jim
