Where is Mother? At funerals of loved ones, we often hear about Mother or Grandma walking upon a street of gold and living in a mansion. It wasn't until the death of my own Mother that I began to study where she really went to.

To clarify, my mother was a born again believer. She was indeed saved.

So where is she? Is there scripture to bac up the basic funeral sermon?
Is she in a mansion? Is she walking upon a street of gold?
Has she seen the pearly gate and jasper walls?

I do have a stnce now that I have taken soley upon the Bible and not upon the traditions of man. What do you believe? Where is Mother?

Funeral services often get "bushwacked" by man's traditions which are oftentimes---well, more than oftentimes used to soothe "Earth dwellers" left here.

    Example

I've heard this said at funerals before

"Yes!!! Knowing Momma----(replace it with Daddy)---or whoever else----

She's up there tellin' Jesus what to do!!

She's up there gettin' her own way!!!

She's up there doin' all the cookin'!!

Daddy's up there showin' Jesus how its done!!!

Knowing how he is----he's giving Jesus "an earfull!!!!!"

Fallen man going "the way of Cain" is so spiritually stupid!!!!!

Where is Momma?? Where's Paw-Paw?? Where will I be the moment I die!!

SAFE in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ who rules visibly in the invisible world!!!!

Funerals for carnal man can be rediculous!!! But you know what??? The funeral home director is still gonna get his money!!!!:type:

She is resting with Jesus, not running up and down through heaven. She is just at rest, waiting the redemption of her body.

    Heb. 4:

9: There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10: For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11: Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Phl 1:23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Rev 14:13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
