Sorry to hear that. I had to park a block away to go swimming at the beach this morning because Trump has Ocean Drive closed off

We all have our burdens to bear, I guess.

Add sharks, jelly fish and other unidentifiable creatures to the list of why I live where the air hurts my face.

Oh, come on now! At the least the gators in my community ring the doorbell first.

I really strained my back a few weeks back so my wife bought me a heating pad to use it’s wonderful...not only does it provide relief but it warms my entire body and my bulldog comes and cuddles to get close to the warmth. Couldn't do that in Florida

Sure you could. It gets down in the 30's a few nights during the winter.

The farmers actually irrigate their trees prior to the frost. Apparently, the water on the fruit freezes and actually protects instead of destroys. Some farmers have torches in the rows of trees. They have some ingenious ways of saving their crops.

A couple months back some folks woke up to a bear sitting in their rocking chair on the front porch just like he belonged there. Living in Florida is definitely not for those skittish of wild life. Now, if we could only get the yankee snowbirds to stop feeding the gators.

Years ago when I was working construction, there was a young fella who had moved down here from the Bronx. Very loud and obnoxious and spent a great part of one day talking about how dumb southerners are. We had a foreman who is a true Floridian, and who rarely says anything other than to give direction on the job, finally spoke up and said:

"I don't know just how smart you Yankees really are, but I have never seen no southerner pay to see no alligator."

My mother lives in a 55+ community in Boynton Beach. Her Yankee snowbird neighbors decided it would be a good photo op to feed the gator that came up through the storm drain into the pond behind their (and her) house. First day they didn't have food for him, he turned on them and they almost didn't get away from him in time.

When I was growing up in L.A., we had a similar problem with the tourists feeding the gators. We always had a saying: "A fed gator is a dead gator", because the gators then have to be removed and, often, put down.

So far, he's been very good, policy wise. Good appointments, stands up to the UN and NATO, got China to change their tune on North Korea, forcing Congress to do what they're supposed to, tax cuts, giving federal lands back to the states, etc.

I didn't vote for him but, to be honest, if he keeps this trajectory up, I'd be willing to consider him in 2020.

The ironic thing is that I called him a RINO all throughout the campaign season and now, it's turned out that he's more of a Republican and more conservative than 90% of the Republicans in Congress.

He doesn't really mess traffic up as bad as we all complain that he does. Unless you live on Ocean Drive, you'd hardly know he was there.

Not really. I've had it, mostly sausage. It tastes a little like pork.

You can get it, but it's more of a novelty.

I live in a rural county in Central Florida. The guy a few houses down from me hunts gator all the time. There is no shortage of them in this county.

We have plenty of them here, too. I went for a walk at a local park the other day and almost tripped over a five-six foot gator. I was looking up at the sky, trying to figure out whether or not it was going to rain when I should have been watching where I was going. Two more steps and I'd have stepped right on him.

Fortunately for me, gators are pretty passive in the daytime or else I'd probably have lost a foot.

No, if you are in the wrong area you can be charged with illegal discharge of a firearm. You can't shoot gators in a residential neighborhood.

Can I knife them or hit them with a sledge hammer ... there has got to be some way to protect yourself? Can I carry my K-Bar into the street?
