Objections to the man-made KJV-only view is not the same thing as believers supposedly being "anti-KJV." Would it not be misrepresentation or distortion to suggest that those who disagree with the exclusive only claims and reasoning of the KJV-only view must be making "anti-KJV posts?"

It is clearly a fact that there are many varying editions of the KJV even in print today. If anything, the article understates or the author is unaware of how many varying editions that there are.

How they come up with these phantom charges -- I'll never know.

    #2 :"discredit my Bible."
#8 : "posting all kinds of things against the KJV."
    #15 : "ANTI-KJV posts"

That is what is interesting in this discussion concerning use of KJV...
IF anyone has problems with it, it is with it being "only English version for today/best/most accurate Bible today"

Than is accused of being anti KJV!
Think point is most of us are "anti KJVO" not anti KJV!

I was never confused to begin with, but, yes, others are confused by all the different versions. Please, do NOT start posting that the people in my church are ignorant, they're NOT. But they do wonder about the numerous versions and which one is "right". That's called common sense.

I think the translators of the KJV used common sense when they wrote that a variety of translations is profitable to understand the scriptures. To me that just makes sense.

Some people are willingly confused by anything which does not fit their narrow parameters of order- that holds true in the BV issue as well as in life in general.

IOW, as a Christian counselor friend of mine is fond of saying- "Different isn't always bad- sometimes it is just different."

It is an individual's choice to be KJVO or KJVP based on their study and their prayer. I don't try to persuade anyone to use the KJV only, but that is my choice and my stance. If someone ridicules me or argues with me when I have stated that I am not going to change my mind, they are beating a dead horse. I am not going to change my mind. And yes, I have been ridiculed......it would take more time than I have to search for the posts, and it doesn't matter anyway. God knows my heart. I have been shown reasons, and I trust and believe those reasons. I think that the Holy Spirit's guidance is much more important than any man's intellectual reasoning anyway.

that is fine, that you see the KJV as being the best Bible for you...

Only problem is when others take it to the extreme and say its only/best for everyone else!

Yes, my Pastor and his college (and many other colleges) and his peer group of Pastors and Evangelists would argue that point, but they have all the knowledge, but I don't retain this type of knowledge. I learn it, believe it, trust it, and go on. Just because I come in this forum doesn't mean I am a intellectual Bible scholar. It only means I wish to commune with like believers. We are all saved by grace, right?

Debating and being "argumentative and provoking" are two different things. It seems no matter what, or in what spirit, a person posts, certain people always answer in a way that cuts down or tries to instigate the other person. Most people can see it, some choose to think it's OK. I'm one that doesn't.

Sometimes you see things that aren't present.

See post number 23 of mine.

And sometimes people deny what they're doing. I'm not the only one who sees it. Or are we all under some mass hallucination? :(
