There was a poll recently on ESPN.com and the results of it were very surprising. So, I'd like to know what the baseball fans on this site think.

Which player would you rather have? Alex Rodriguez or David Eckstein?

Absolutely A-Rod... As non-existent as he has been in October, he still plays unbelievably throughout the year.

    A-Rod Lifetime BA -307 HR - 518 HR .974 fielding percentage

    Eckstein - Lifetime BA - 286 - 30 HR .978 fielding percentage

I suspect that some of you who either voted, replied or viewed this poll are wondering if I'm feeling Ok. Rest assured that I feel just fine. :)

I'm going to give the poll a couple of more days before explaining why I created it in the first place.

    A-Rod.

He would have looked good in a Cubs uniform.

I'm glad he's back with the Yankees, but the Cubs would have been about the only other team who could have signed and paid him and still had some other talent around.

And the Cubs are the only team I wouldn't mind beating the Yankees.
