    I've always been partial to the classic civilizations... Egyptian, Greek, Roman.

    I'd have to go with Memphis, as I am more familiar with the Egyptiam mythologies and how they governed the lives of the people.

    Sue, my first thought was Harappa since I never heard of it before.

    However, while I was looking in my book for information, I realized that our book doesn't talk about Memphis. That annoyed me because I wanted to know at least a little about each. I looked it up online and just kept going because it was interesting, so I ended up with Trotter's suggestion of Memphis!

    It's a short assignment, just two pages, but it was fun looking up the info and it will be even more fun to write it! The only guidelines he gave us was "you're a common citizen of one of these places at these times and must include information about your religion, social life, and the government."

    I couldn't be happier! It makes me laugh when they give us stuff like this and call it an assignment! HA! I almost feel guilty. They're giving me an excuse to sit here and do what I love to do (creative writing) and would do more of if I had no other obligations! What next, we'll get graded on eating chocolate? :D
