White House Weighing 23-Month Iraq Withdrawal Plan

Let's all take note that there had been tremendous progress in Iraq before Obama became President and that it is very likely we'd be winding down our military presence there whether he'd been elected or not. Now it seems he isn't going to do the "magic" trick that he promised the suckers who voted for him. Who's really surprised about this?

Did he say, while campaigning, he'd pull those soldiers out of Iraq this year?
With the iraqi police force in place, and free elections taking place, we can see it in fact had started winding down long before obama took office. But guess who'll get the credit. A man who did nothing.
Keep seeing him go back on a lot he said, and it's not even been a month.

Correct! I also note how little press the most recent elections in Iraq received and the on-going transfer of various sectors from US to Iraqi control.
