    All of us have people in our lives who helped us understand what the ministry was about. When God called me, God used Al Dasburg, the youth pastor, and Pastor Jackson, senior pastor, to show me what church ministry was about.

    When first saved, it was my best friend at time Tim, also Randy, and ny partner with me while we worked peaching prisoners at Saginaw Jail on thurs!

    I was in the service. Had a barracks room all to myself.

    Had a long time compulsion to read the bible and was in the Gospel of John for the ?th time.

    I had a radio. At night I would get Wheeling West Virginia.

    A redneck preacher was my human helper.

    I was in the church since the age of seven with my folks and really can't single out anyone... So in all honesty it was the whole church... The communion and fellowship I had with those saints of God at The Old Line Baptist Church in San Diego, CA was at times, I felt, heaven sent... I was there over 50 years... Brother Glen:)

    Over the years it always came back to two GARBC examples of piety I could not erase from my mind when Christianity seemed awash with hypocrisy. They weren't ministers or deacons, just the guys in the pews in two different churches hundreds of miles apart whose kindness made a lasting impact.
