Who first wrote "Why I am a Baptist"

I am doing some research in Baptist history and was wondering if anyone new who first wrote a book about why they were Baptist. I have found a book by J. M. Pendleton entitled "Three Reasons Why I am a Baptist" as early as 1853. Does anyone know of an earlier one?

Of several with which I am familiar, that is the earliest. But I wouldn't be surprised that someone tackled the subject, if not the title, quite a bit before then.
