Who Has Been Sick Lately?

    On March 6, I was seen for flu-like symptoms at a walk-in clinic. Test for flu was negative so I received a steriod shot and anti biotics. Suspected of having a bacterial infection. Got better then worse with fever.

    Went to another clinic where I got a chest x-ray. The doc said he saw something which may or may not be pneumonia but he decided to treat for pneumonia. I got 750mg Levaquin tablets (7 pills). I took the pills and got over it. If it had been corona, I would imagine that my wife would be sick by now.
    I was cautioned that Levaquin has potentially wicked side effects, like causing tendons to snap. He said if I ever felt something pop inside, get to a hospital and get checked out. Looks like I survived the cure as well as the ailment.

    I have had a respiratory infection for about 4 months now. I had gotten and antibiotic and it's finally almost gone. At 63, I should have gotten a flu shot but I didn't. Next year for sure.

    A member of my church had a brother die from the virus. Don’t know where he lived though.

    I’ve been hunkered down in the house, working from home; calling, cancelling, arranging, informing etc.... did I ever tell you how I hate making phone calls?

    You do what you got to do to keep things running, even if it is only at idle speed.

    Just curious, how old was that church member's brother? Did the two brothers live in different parts of the country?

    Thank you. I keep forgetting I am this old, these kind of things used to blow over real quick like in my earlier days. I finally couldn't take my wife's nagging about it any longer so I did go see the Doc. (I should have listened to her the first month!)
