    I don't.

Aren't there more important matters for Christians to concern themselves with?

    I don't either! Maybe that's because I'm a female, and I find sports boring? {Abby ducks and runs for cover! The men will kill her!}
My pracher was picking at me this morning and asked if we should call the services off tonight for the game. I looked at him and said: "Preacher, if I was deathly sick, this would be the one night I DEFINATLY came to church, just so my neighbors wouldn't think I'd stay home just to watch it!
I'm sorry, but folks, if you want to see it that bad, why not just tape it? Now I KNOW none of you men {or some women} would lay out of church just to watch some football game!
Cause if you did, I'd be plumb ashamed of yu'ns!

There is a game somewhere? Go Hammers!

When I saw superbowl, I looked on the dining table....yes, the superbowl is still there with the bananas, oranges, apples and even grapes.....

    Cheers,

    Jim

I have to admit before I got saved, I once laid out of church with a "Belly Ache" on the fourth Sunday of January (Which coincidentaly was Super Bowl Sunday  ). However, since I have truly been saved I have remained a football fan, but my desire to be around the people of God and the things of God has far outweighed anything that this world can offer. The Bible is very clear to forsake not the assemblying of yourselves together. So nomatter what excuse one may use, missing church for any reason other than being providentially hindered is SIN [IMG]
The Bible also says that sin shall have no dominion over you, so if their is someone thinking about skipping church to watch the Super Bowl, may I advice you to check up on your salvation, because perhaps you haven't experienced true Biblical Salvation.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy TK Farley (BTM)

    AMEN Jeremey!
This morning my preachers sermon was on living a victorious Christian life, and how it was all about choices, and about dying to self. I hope all of you will make the right choice, and go to your churches.

I care about the superbowl. That's the only one big enough to hold the amount of popcorn my son eats.

What's all this talk about a game, though?

I don't. But neither of my teams are involved, which makes a difference. And the two dollars I put into the pool at work isn't enough to make me sit through it. I drove for far too many hours today to plop down in front of the telly (then what am I doing in front of the 'puter? she asks herself [IMG] ) and watch a game that excludes the Skins or the Ravens.

I like the Super Bowl. I'd like it even better if the Titans were playing in it :D

Who'd a thunk it? The Buccaneers....

Not that I cared one whit about either team. The only team I ever root for is the one playing against Dallas....

Yes, like going to Sea World in San Diego to take advantage of the small crowds. [IMG]
