Oh this is a good verse.

WE sold ourselves to sin. And, then we beg for our redeemer Christ to buy us back. We all sell ourselves down the river to sin. Christ saw what we were doing and bought us back. From our own stupidity.

I understand Romans 7:14 "sold under sin", what it means.

During Paul's time. He must have saw many slaves everywhere, mostly in Rome. Where the slaves are in the prisons wait for the consqence - sentence. Mostly were thrown into Colossuem.

But, the point is in their time, the custom of the slaves. When the master decides to buy person to be belong to master's. A person cannot be freed from the master.

Even during the period many years before Civil War in America. There were slaves down there. I watched a good movie - "Roots" about black slave family. During in their times, master decided want to give his slaves away or sell to other master. So, another master buy slave to master's. Then, master send slave away to another master.

Romans 7:14 - 'sold under sin' is the picture of being captivity or slave struck with sins.

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!
