    It has nothing to do with decay or dying. It is a living organism (yeast) consuming sugar. If you eat Ice cream, you are doing the same thing to an extent (and that would not be a result of death or decay).

    Fermentation is part of a decaying (dying) process. Did dying and decaying occur naturally prior to the fall?
