Who wrote I'm a child of the king?

I have found this song (below) variously credited to Skeeter Davis and Cindy Walker, but I'm skeptical of the accuracy. Davis was a singer and sang this song, but I'm not sure she wrote any songs. Walker was a songwriter, so is a better candidate. She wrote both words and music. But I couldn't find anything I felt was authoritative that credited her with this song. Gospel songwriter Franklin Lycurgus Eiland "F. L." Eiland was Walker's maternal-grandfather.

Anyone know who wrote this song?

There is another "A Child of the King" song that was written by Harriet E. Buell in 1877:

My Father is rich in houses and lands,
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.

Refrain:

With Jesus my Savior,
