    I affiliate with Baptist churches because I believe their practice and teachings to be the closest in alignment with the New Testament scripture teachings that we have today.

    I have been a member of American Baptist Association Churches (ABA), IFB, and the SBC, and have been blessed by all. However, I have not been in 100% agreement with any of these churches on EVERYTHING that was commonly taught, but the core beliefs are all almost the same.

    Your first post was a good one Carpenter.
    It was my life situation that led me to be in a Baptist church, but I remain due to just the reason you gave.
