Why Do I Read The KJV?

How does your bible, as opposed to say the NKJV, equate to the "real thing" and the NKJV to something not real?

 

I gotta have the real chocolate too. But it matters little to me if the wrapper says "Hershey's", "Lindt", "Cadbury's", "Godiva", "Nestle", "Purdy's", etc. Or are you one-brand-only, condemning the rest as Satanic counterfeits, and those who enjoy them as deceived?

Of course, The English language changes,
it is a human thing.

Here is an example: FUNDAMENTALIST

1900-1960s FUNDAMENTALIST - a member of a
20th Century movement among some American
Protestant Christians based on keeping
the religious basics based on a literal
interperatation of everything in the Bible

1970s FUNDAMENTALIST - a member of any
book religion (Specifically: Jewish,
Christian, Muslim, focusing on the basics
of that religion

1980s FUNDAMENTALIST - a member of any
religion focusing on the basics of that
religion


1990s FUNDAMENTALIST - a bigot of what
ever stripe

As you can see, this evolution of one
term shows a complete change of the
term. So documents containing this
term must be explained, even a document
only ten years old. A 400 year old
document becomes unreadable.
