Why does the TBN network support Hinn so much?? If he is false prohet. I have seen him on stage with TD Jakes, and many other preachers during marathons. Why does TBN support Hinn if many say that he is false prophet??

If you buy into "prosperity theology" (I don't) then Hinn is incredibly blessed by God (he ain't)...cause he's loaded, popular, and (at this point, as far as we know) not sick from anything.

It's all about how you define your success in ministry. TBN largely chooses to define "success" with how flashy you are, the numbers you draw, and how many people fall down when you hit their foreheads.

I'm not sure TBN would have ever given Jesus or Paul any airtime. 'Course, they would have eaten Elijah and Elisha up though.

Glitz and baloney, baloney and glitz. I don't doubt the Christianity of Paul and Jan Crouch, but my circuit breaker trips out when I view their heresies and glaring commentaries. The tragedy is that this stuff goes out around the world! What an image of Christianity in the USA!

Even so, some Southern Baptist and other denominations have had programs there, along with conversations with Paul & Jan. The deceased pastor, Adrian Rogers, whom I loved to listen to, had a program there, and was on camera with them several times.

Why do they "support" him? Isn't it the other way around ... that his dollars feed them. Commerical networks could care less about the content of religious programming. Revenue is the name of that game.

Jan and Paul Crouch seem to have no problem in promoting the Oneness theology and Oneness teachings, as well as many Word of Faith teachers. While there are some good shows and a few good people on TBN, it seems that TBN has no discernment when it comes to people like Hinn.

T D Jakes is not sound either. He has Oneness background and refuses to affirm the Trinity. He also has some WF teachings. Some links on Jakes:

TBN supports the likes of Benny Hinn because the entire network itself is full of the "name it and claim it" and "health and wealth" heresy.

TBN is a joke, and is a false teacher. I once heard Paul Crouch say anyone who didn't beleive in Hinn and support him ought to be shot dead. They are name it and claim it preachers who do not preach the truth of scripture.
    Thats why they supposrt Hinn.

Perhaps, it could have something to do with this.

You know what TBN really stands for, don't you? The Blasphemy Network.

I can't stand to watch TBN. They've got that one lady on there with with a mountain of oddly colored hair, and WAY to much makeup. And they sit on those chairs that look like little thrones. I'm not trying to make fun of anyone, but 'come on.

They don't call it the Totally Blasphemous Network for nothing.

If it were up to me, I'd keep Adrian Rogers and Way of the Master and throw the rest in the trash.

Do you doubt the Christianity of the Pope?

Well said and noted. My own view it that it is a measure of the 'leaven' we see so much. Why is so much 'leaven' preached?

    'Cause it raises the dough!
