I just don't get it. The guy is well known and has always- without exception- been a true conservative. Today, Rasmussen places him behind Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, and even Romney. None of these candidates have the conservative record FT has. What's wrong with Republicans: do they not care about loyalty, character, and precedent? It's simply amazing that FT has spent his life championing the conservative movement and is virtually ignored!

    So... what's "wrong" with him?

I heard Fred on Limbaugh today and he sounded GREAT !!!

The reason they ignore him is because they're scared of him.

I was all for him until I learned that he wants states to decide to abort unborn children. This is not a prolife position.

After the last debate, I heard Rush say that FT sounded like the only true conservative. I agreed with him. I have no clue, none, why pro-choice Giuliani, Tax Hike Mike, Flipp Romney, and the Maverick McCain are taken seriously in the GOP. I mean, heck, *I'm* more conservative than these four candidates and I'm not even Republican!

I catch myself feeling sorry for FT (and Hunter and Tancredo). They did nothing to deserve loosing to the likes of the frontrunner scumbags.

Actually, it is not YOUR prolife position. But taking federal $ out of the abortion industry will greatly reduce their numbers. Even you have to agree with that.

This may partly explain why FT hasn't caught fire.

You can bet that Fox News will support and promote Rudy after all they do owe him big time for bringing in Fox News on cable to New York City.
Fox News, Fair and balanced? You decide.

Fred does not seem to have passion in his voice during the debates. Its almost like his heart is not in the grueling campaign.

What's wrong with Tancredo? Besides the fact that I endorse him. ;)

I do not agree with that at all. When R v. W is overturned (and it will be) it will go back to the states. That much I support. What I do not support is leaving it there. This will do little to nothing to reduce abortion. In fact it will create more issues. Those who reside in states that will not allow abortion will just travel to states that do which will do nothing to reduce abortion. And the new problems it will create will be expanded numbers of feminists and educators that will sneak young girls across state lines to get this done without consent or parentla knowledge.

While R v. W does need to be overturned because it was law founded on a lie where no one was harmed we need a constitutional amendment not just some federal law that puts an and to all abortion. Allowing for any amount of abortion is not pro life.

Truthfully I have very little trust for any of the candidates. What they say now and what they will actually do is most likely two different things. I do not buy into all the hipe on Huckabee especiall since the NEA come out in support of him and i do not trust him on border security and illegal immigration. Tancredo has done nothing to enspire me or gain my trust.

Isn't Huckabee advocating the "Fair Tax"?
Does this look like a tax hike to you?
What is Fred's take on taxes? No new taxes? Reduced Taxes?
We need a new tax code, period. No IRS. I think that the Fair Tax gets us going in that direction.

    1) The Fair Tax is a method of collecting revenue for the federal government. Depending on where the rate is set it could end up being a tax increase, a tax cut, or being tax neutral.

What should we go by - Huckabee's track record as a tax raising governor or what he is saying now?

Fred is old and really boring. That's why he hasn't caught any steam.

Guiliani can't get over himself. Romney is Robomormon. Paul is a fringe candidate. Tancredo is a one-issue candidate. I still don't know why Hunter is still in it. McCain is ancient.

Huckabee, for all his faults, is at least interesting and engaging.
