Could you point me to the timestamp in the video that quotes Obama as saying "I hate Texas"?

    Thank you.

Time for Obama to end efforts to tear down Texas
    Houston Chronicle ^ | 2nd June, 2011 | Bill Hammond

There are enough examples of the Obama administration's attacks on Texas to make a David Letterman Top 10 list. But, there's really nothing funny about the full frontal assault that's come out of Washington against our state in recent months.

Texas versus Washington talk is popular political chatter, but if you move beyond the rhetoric there's substantial evidence that President Barack Obama's administration is waging a strategic and sustained campaign against lives and livelihoods in the Lone Star state .

With all due respect, the president and his administration's hell-bent determination to tear down Texas could be better focused on more pressing matters like reining in debt and reforming entitlements.

The moves against Texas are well documented, some are more bold and brazen than others, and they amount to a war by regulation and executive order that's aimed at knocking Texas off its leadership position.
And lead Texas does. Chief Executive's seventh annual ranking on the best and worst states in which to do business put Texas on top for the 7th year in a row.

Less business-friendly states like the president's home state of Illinois (No. 48) and others sympathetic to his politics and anti-business policies (New York No. 49 and California No. 50) languish in the bottom three spots of the annual survey of the country's CEOs.

Obama showed his petty vindictiveness by denying a retired space shuttle to Houston...a no brainer.

I hate Texas because it's too hot. Maybe that's his real reason, too.

Did President Obama make the decision where the shuttles would go?

I think Huntsville deserved one :)

We already know that Obama isn’t a huge fan of Texas and Texas reciprocates that feeling. A man with thin-skin who wants to act as everyone’s president but seemingly doesn’t behave like one, has said no to federal aid to Texas. It’s hard to not blame him for playing politics when he refuses aid for a state that is going through such a disaster. Via The Blaze:

Imagine the response from the Federal government if the entire state of Maryland, all of it, was engulfed in a gigantic, uncontrolled wildfire. And the next week, all of Rhode Island was burned to a crisp… More than two million acres of land burned, 400 homes destroyed and at least two firefighters lost their lives trying to stop the worst wildfires in almost one hundred years.

Do you think the President would be visiting the area, declaring it a ‘disaster’ and providing truckloads of aid and support? Of course he would.
But this is not about Maryland or Rhode Island. This is about the state of Texas. Since January, Texas has been experiencing a drought like nothing they have seen in a century. The lack of rain and dry brush have created ideal conditions for wildfires. And the state has not really hit the peak of ‘wildfire season.’

The current details on the Texas Wildfires:
■Two firefighters have died battling the wildfires
■2.2 million acres burned in over 7000 different fires
    ■400+ homes destroyed

Governor Rick Perry has requested that the state be declared a Federal disaster area, which would allow them to access needed financial assistance. This request was first delayed and then denied.

You can believe him if you want. I saw the interview. His imperious tone, defensiveness, and body language said he was lying.

    Why would Houston deserve one?

Former program manager Wayne Hale said when he declared Houston didn't deserve one.

I hardly think that you calling him a liar makes him guilty. Is that your only evidence that he kept the shuttle out of Houston?

    Yep.

That's all I need, coupled with his natural vindictiveness. It's a slam dunk.

He lied. He could snap his fingers and change it. He won't.

If you believe that President Obama is the reason Houston doesn't have a space shuttle, you are allowing your hatred to skew your ability to reason.

And, if the only evidence you have is, "His imperious tone, defensiveness, and body language said he was lying," shows only that you don't look for facts but for anything to prop up your imaginary assumptions

We already know you've bought into his lies. It's no surpise you'd defend them.

You voted for him. Avoid mirrors. They are not your friend.
