    Seeking Christ
The original length of a solar year when God created the heavens and the earth was 360 days. And since solar years were shorter than today, which is now 365 and 1/4 days, the sidereal orbit of the moon around the earth from new moon to new moon was conversely longer, slightly. Which before was precisely 30 days. And that is why all the calendars of ancient civilizations were 360 day lunar calendars. Such as the ancient calendars of the Persians, Mayans, Incas, Chinese, Hindus, Assyrians, Egyptians, Greeks, and even the Romans, which were all 360 day lunar calendars. And the months of the year were based on perfect 30 day lunation cycles that previously existed. And 12 lunar months of 30 days was precisely a solar year of 360 days. And a man only needed observe the current phase of the moon to determine the day of the month it was. And a man could also determine what month in the year he was in by knowing how many new moons had passed. The ancient “new moon” is our crescent moon, where only a sliver of light is seen on the right of the moon. Which in Hebrew is called “rosh chodesh”. Which signified a new month. Which was day 1 of the month. And the full moon was day 15 of the month. And that is why the ancient calendar of the Torah was a 360 day lunar calendar, for the original solar year was 360 days, and lunar months were previously 30 days. And also why according to the Torah the 150 days that the flood waters prevailed on the earth was from New Moon 2 Day 17 to New Moon 7 Day 17. For it was was precisely 5 lunar cycles of 30 days each. Yet under the rule of Hezekiah, around the 8th century BC, God caused a change in the length of the solar year with the shadow miracle performed through the prophet Isaiah. God caused the rotation of the earth to reverse, to cause the sun to go backwards, to then cause the shadow to go backwards. And in doing this, God also changed the length of the solar year to 365 and 1/4 days. And since the orbit of the earth around the sun slowed, it also affected the sidereal orbit of the moon around the earth, changing it to 29 and 1/2 days conversely. Yet the synodic orbit of the moon remained the same, in its original perfect synchronization, which is why we always see the same side of the moon. For the rotation of the moon on its own axis is still perfectly synchronized with its orbit around the earth. And this is why all civilizations began changing their calendars all around the same time, in the 8th and 7th centuries BC, by adding more days to their 360 day calendars, to reflect the change in the length of the solar year. And they also added or remove days in their months, to reflect the change in the lunar months. And in some cases, an additional month 13 was added every few years to fix the desynchronization of the solar years with the lunar months. And among the new calendars that emerged was the Babylonian calendar, which was adopted by the sons of Israel in their exile in Babylon. Which became the “Jewish” calendar used today. Which is why the names of the months of the Jewish calendar are Babylonian. And also the new Roman calendar emerged, which became the Gregorian calendar. Which is the calendar used today by many nations, including the USA. The Gregorian calendar is purely solar, for its months no longer correlate with the moon. Yet the Jewish calendar is lunisolar, basing its years on the sun and its months on the moon. It is the calendar that mostly closely resembles the original 360 day lunar calendar of the Torah. And it is also an accurate calendar in determining when the appointed times of the Torah must truly happen in our current length of years. For the first appointed time of the Torah in Nisan 14 in the Jewish calendar, which is Passover, always happens after the Jerusalem spring equilux, just as it did in the original calendar of the Torah. Therefore Nisan in the Jewish calendar is truly New Moon 1 of the ancient calendar of the Torah. Which was formerly called Aviv in antiquity. Which is a Hebrew name. And since the first and second comings of Yeshuah are based on the appointed times of the Torah, which are based on the solar seasons and lunar months, then in the current time a man of God must know the appointed times of the Torah and the Jewish calendar to know the timing of the second coming of Yeshuah, and the events related to his descension on the earth. For Yeshuah will descend on the earth in the autumn in accordance to the appointed times of the autumn of the Torah. Just as his first coming relates to the appointed times of the spring of the Torah. And then, after his descension, in Tishri 1 will be the appointed time of trumpets of the Torah, which are the 7 trumpets of Revelation. One trumpet will be blasted per day for 7 days. The month of Tishri in the Jewish calendar is New Moon 7 of the original calendar of the Torah, which is around September or October in the Gregorian calendar. Then in Tishri 10 is the Day of Atonement of the Torah. Which is when the great shofar is blown. Which will be the gathering of the people of God. Which is commonly called the “rapture”. Which is why it is written, “and you Israel, will be gathered one by one, on that day the great shofar will be blown”. And then in Tishri 15 is the Feast of Tabernacles of the Torah. Which are the 7 bowls of wrath of Revelation. Which are 7 plagues that will be poured on the earth for 7 days, one plague a day. The months of the Jewish calendar are Nisan, which is around March or April. Then Iyar, which is around April or May. Then Sivan, which is around May or June. Then Tammuz, which is around June or July. Then Av, which is around July or August. Then Elul, which is around August or September. Then Tishri, which is around September or October. Then Cheshvan, which is around October or November. Then Kislev, which is around November or December. Then Tevet, which is around December or January. Then Shevat, which is around January or February. Then Adar, which is around February or March. And then sometimes Adar 2 in leap years, which is around March or April. The spring appointed times of the Torah begin in Nisan in the Jewish calendar, which is the equivalent of New Moon 1 of the ancient 360 day lunar calendar of the Torah. And the autumn appointed times of the Torah begin in Tishri in the Jewish calendar, which is the equivalent of New Moon 7 of the ancient 360 day lunar calendar of the Torah.

He appointed the moon for seasons

The firmament of the Earth from the day of creation of the lights “in the firmament of the heauen” was transparent to observe them. People, observing the Sun, the Moon and the stars, counted down “seasons, and for dayes and yeeres” (Gen. 1:14). Based on the frequency and consistency of the movements of celestial bodies, a lunar-solar calendar was compiled. The calendar allowed keeping time records, recording dates of historical events, compiling the book of the generations. Therefore, using the book of the generations from Adam (Gen. 5) to Noah (Gen. 7:6), you can determine the year the Flood began absolutely accurately. The Flood began in 1656 from the creation of Adam.

Scripture, narrating about the events of that year, shows us two dates and names the time interval between them. From 17 days of the second month to 17 days of the seventh month, “an hundred and fifty dayes” passed (Gen. 7:24).

“¶ In the sixe hundredth yeere of Noahs life, in the second moneth, the seuenteenth day of the moneth, the same day, were al the fountaines of the great deepe broken vp, and the windowes of heauen were opened” (Gen.7:11)

“And the Arke rested in the seuenth moneth, on the seuenteenth day of the moneth, vpon the mountaines of Ararat” (Gen.8:4)

Scripture makes it clear to us that the five months of the lunar-solar calendar of that time were 150 days. Of course, after global destruction, the calendar became invalid. The “mechanism” of the heavenly clock was spoiled: During the year, it was possible to notice that the phase of the moon does not correspond to the day of the calendar month, and during the following years to pay attention that the calendar month does not correspond to the season. But the Author of the Scripture, indicating the dates of those events, uses the previous lunar-solar calendar to show us amazing harmony and accuracy in the lost coordination of the length of the day with the duration of the lunar month and solar year. Scripture shows us that during the observation period of 1656 years that began in the Garden of Eden, the calendar error was 00 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, 00 seconds, because:

The period of the Earth’s revolution around the Sun was 360 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, 00 seconds.

The period of revolution of the Moon around the Earth was 30 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, 00 seconds.

Therefore, the only lunar-solar calendar of that time was based on the true periodicity of the motion of the Earth and the Moon, and therefore did not have an error. The accuracy of the calendar was at the level of error of the atomic clock. The day of the calendar month always corresponded to the phase of the moon.

The axis of rotation of the Earth was perpendicular to the plane of its orbit of rotation around the Sun. The plane of the orbit of the moon was in the plane of the orbit of the Earth. And at each new moon a solar eclipse could be observed, and at a full moon a lunar eclipse could be observed, these phenomena were always observed at the same time. They marked the beginning and middle of each month, and allowed to make an accurate countdown.

“He appointed the moone for seasons” (Ps.104:19)

In the years of the USSR, every day at 15:00 Moscow time, radio signals of the exact time were transmitted. And before that, the announcer said the standard phrase: “Moscow says, we transmit signals of the exact time. The beginning of the sixth signal corresponds to fifteen hours of Moscow time.”

Now it’s clear what signs Scripture says in the words of God:

“¶ And God said, Let there bee lights in the firmament of the heauen, to diuide the day from the night: and let them be for signes and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.” (Gen.1:14)

The first day of the new year on this calendar has always been the first day of the month. And if summer and winter were on the antediluvian Earth, then the calendar month would always correspond to the time of year.

During global destruction, the axis of rotation of the Earth deviated from the vertical by an angle of 23 degrees 27 arc minutes. And the plane of the Moon’s orbit received an inclination relative to the plane of the Earth’s orbit, at an angle of 5 degrees 9 arc minutes.

Further, due to an increase in the diameter of the Earth, its rotation around its axis slowed down. But this is all a simplified view of the changes. It was supplemented by the phenomenon of precession, in which the angular momentum of the body changes its direction in space, and the phenomenon of nutation. Nutation is vibrations that are superimposed on a precession.

Changed rotation periods: of the Earth around its axis, of the Earth around the Sun, and of the Moon around the Earth since then do not agree with each other in duration, each celestial object began to live its own life, with some exceptions. The revolution of the Moon around the Earth and the rotation around its own axis are only synchronized, therefore we see one side of the Moon.

Due to these discrepancies, all existing calendars are forced to use the conditional periodicity of the Earth and the Moon, which means they have an error and need to be adjusted.

Scripture on behalf of the LORD says:

“While the earth remaineth, seed-time and haruest, and cold, and heat, and Summer, and Winter, and day and night, shall not cease” (Gen.8:22)

The waters of the Flood, in which all flesh was destroyed, is also a prototype of the end of the world at the end of the “sixth day” of creation. Imagine a universe surrounded by the waters of a great deep (Job 38:30). Now imagine a picture when once the windows of heaven open and the whole gigantic volume of water of the great abyss collapses inward, squeezing the space. The sun, approaching the Earth, will cause rain from fire and sulfur (Gen. 19:24), “the earth also and the works that are therin shalbe burnt vp” (2Pet. 3:10). Thus, Scripture as well compares the last days of the Millennium with what it was “in the dayes of Lot” (Luke 17:28).

Only “Noah” and his sons will be saved and blessed (Gen. 9).

ACTUALLY, the length of the solar year increased during the time of Hezekiah, in the 700s BC when he asked Isaiah to ask God to cause the shadow on the sundial to retreat 10 degrees.

Now, naturally, such an event would be noticed worldwide, & it was. The Chinese have a legend about a long night when the starsmoved retrograde. The Pawnee Indians have a legend about the sun's barely rising, then retreating for awhile to avoid a snare.

The most-familiar legend of that event is the Greek legend of Phaeton, a son of Apollo's, who prevaile3d upon his father to drive the chariot of the sun. However, Phaeton, being but a youth, couldn't control the horses, so the chariot ran wild til Jupiter struck Phaeton with a thunderbolt, which killed him & frightened the horses back to their course. Phaeton fell to earth as a fireball.

It was after that time that men began to make new calendars everywhere. The Jews added 5 1/4 "intercalary" days, or "days of nothing" to the year.

This event was caused by a near-collision between earth & Mars, while Mars was on a more-elliptical orbit. As earth's gravity is much-greater than Mars' is, Mars suffered extensive damage, with the earth sucking away most of Mars' atmosphere. That's why the surface of Mars resembles a bombing range.

This event also changed the earth's axial tilt. Some proof of this is found in an ancient Egyptian sundial, discovered intact in a tomb. It was made in that location. However, it's not accurate, & the Egyptians were known for making very-accurate sundials. The dial is accurate in an area somewhat south of Egypt, which matches a hypothesis that the axial North Pole was once in Greenland.

Somehow, the length of the day was little-affected, if at all, & it's unlikely that Mars having almost the same length day as the earth is merely coincidence.

I missed the scripture reference that said 360 days equals one year or 30 days equal one month. Please show me

    Genesis 7:11,24 & 8:3-4 & Esther 1:4 indirectly show it.

We must look largely to Jewish & secular sources for the most evidence. There's no question that every ancient civilization we know of used a 360-day calendar. As most of them were agrarian, it was very important for them to have an accurate calendar to know when to do what with their crops. This included ancient Israel, of course.

In even more-ancient times, a 354-day year was observed. Some Jewish calendars still follow this, making up the extra days by adding a second month of Adar, the last month on their calendar, every 3 years or so. The most-common Jewish calendars follow the 360-day year, & simply add 5 intercalary days each year, with 6 such days added every 4th year. These days are commonly called "days of nothing".

While Rome was not a mighty power in the 700s BC, it was still a civilization, & went thru a period of trying to determine an accurate calendar after the event of the sun's retreat. The moon's orbit was also disturbed, causing some months to have 35 or 36 days. And the Romans used a 10-month calendar in those days. That fact carries over in our names of the last 4 months of our year.

The fact that there was a cosmic event is hard to dispute. Among its leftovers is an unnatural fear of the planets Mars & Venus, as well as comets, in some old civilizations. The asteroid belt is likely the remains of a shattered planetoid that was less than the size of our moon, & was likely ripped apart by the passage of a planet.

More proof - as the orbits of the planets & our moon are now precisely-known, back-calculating the orbits of the moon, Mars, & Venus does NOT match the ancient recorded observations of those bodies by the Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, & Persians, who were all keen observers of the night sky. The recorded times of eclipses are different from their back-calculated times, before the late 700s BC (And the famous Mayan calendar is no-older than the 500s BC.)

There's little question that the solar year was once 360 days long, which was very-important to ancient agrarian Israel. Being off by 5.25 days would put it off by a whole month in 5 years, causing agricultural disaster for Israel.

It is my belief calculation of seconds, minutes, hours are a function of mathematics and not directly given by God

The reference points given by God are evening and morning; from which we derive mid-day and mid-night: and the summer/winter solstices as well as lunar cycles.

How we calculate the time in those cycles vary. The current use of 60 seconds/min, 60 min/hour, 24 hours/day is based on belief that the number 12 has more numbers that can divide into it (1,2,3,4,6,12) than 10 (1,2,5,10), and was therefore more accurate.

Though I appreciate your efforts to explain your beliefs, I find it pure speculation without real biblical support.

I don’t believe we need to provide scientific explanations for biblical events. Unbelievers will never be convinced and believers accept it by faith.

    Peace to you

Well, actually, God gave us the ability to calculate the passage of time & to learn/use math. It has nothing to do with faith.

The division of a circle into 360 degrees is based upon the 360-day year. Various divisions of 360 were used for calculating time from antiquity. Scripture mentions hours, remember. Ancient hours of day & night varied with the seasons. Thus, the Israelis have always had the change of one day to the next at sunset, as sunset happens every day, regardless of season.

Remember, we must be ready & able to explain our beliefs to skeptics at any time. Thus, we supply PROOF for the old 360-day year.

And some of your "faith" seems to be guesswork or human assumption. Here's what GOD says faith is: Heb. 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Yes, God says faith is based upon SUBSTANCE & EVIDENCE, not guesswork or assumption.

The use of 360 degrees for a circle is a function of mathematics, not a 360 day calendar. If you know a scripture passage that links the two, please show me.

A history of a 360 day calendar has nothing to do with the gospel.

Again, I appreciate your efforts and the fact you believe this is very important. I disagree.

    Thanks for the conversation.

    peace to you

The natural tendency of man is to divide things into tenths, after having 10 fingers & 10 toes. I know history pretty well, & I know the circle is divided into 360 degrees from the old 360-day year.

But you are right about the Gospel. However, the well-equipped witness for Jesus is prepared to answer almost any question pertaining to Scripture or the Gospel. There are many skeptics out there who need to be shown a cause to believe the Gospel is more than just another ancient legend, or who will destroy the faith of new believers.

The Chinese developed a system of mathematics based on the number “10” thousands of years ago because of the ease of calculations, nothing to do with fingers/toes.

It is interesting to speculate on this, however, no one will come to Christ based on convincing them the earth used to have 360 days (exactly) and the months were 30 days (exactly). That is not part of the gospel.

    peace to you
