You go down that road if you wish.

Let's look at the conquest of Canaan. Was it loving to slaughter infants and toddlers?

How about Moab ? Israel was separated by a big sea, and had to travel thru other countries on both sides. How about the 200 Philistine foreskins ? All commanded by God.

I'm not saying it's easy to get the mind around. I'm saying God is love, and one of his tools in expressing it to Israel was extreme violence.

But Christ's love did not accept sin. And Christ never denounced the law. He wrote the law as part of the Trinitarian Godhead.

But God commanded stoning in the OT because this was part of his judgment on sin. Judgment on sin is part of God's character and it does not negate his love. It seems you are making a false dichotomy between the two.

Though we are not under the law like this today, and though we should love all people, this does not mean we accept or endorse that which God has condemned (such as homosexual union).

I want to make the point that no society or culture has ever had same sex marriage until very recently. It is not as though this was something once accepted and now people are prejudiced against it. Same sex was never accepted.

Obedience to GOD is loving GOD. Loving and obeying GOD is the first duty of the "True Believer".

Again your ignorance of Scripture is no excuse for childish sarcasm!

I am not ignorant of Scripture. I simply interpret it differently than you. You could stand to be less cold and condescending.

As my mother always told me: "A guilty conscience needs no accuser."

It appears to me that you are endorsing the homosexual lifestyle which is strongly condemned in both the Old and New Testaments.
