    Ken,

Hillary is not a liberal, she is a populist. She has been criticized by liberals for not being a true liberal. On AirAmerica, Garofalo and Seder used to criticize her on the show they did together called The Majority Report.

Romney and Rice are not even poised to capture their own party, according to Gallup. Hillary beats them two to one easily. In a campaign with real issues on the table, Rice would have to run on the abysmal foreign policy failures of the Bush administration. No getting around that. After today's shocking admission by Gates that we are losing the war in Iraq, I don't think she stands a snowball's chance on a hot stove of winning the nomination.

Romney is a Mormon. How many people in the evangelical right wing of the party will support him?

The Republicans are looking at 2016 for their next chance of capturing the White House. There is no one in '08 who can beat her.

She is almost the poster girl for the liberals. Her voting record is at or near the top.

She is currently packin a Bible and attending Bible studies. But I would have bet the farm that she would do that very thing, only sooner. Unbelievably arrogant of her, to seek the right wing of the Dem. party and tempt the Christian Republicans.

She hasn't a chance IMO because half the Democrats hate her and all the Republicans and Independants. There is NO joy in the Democrat leadership over her.

Condoleezza Rice hasn't shown me anything. I think she has basically been a mouthpiece for GW. I'm on the fence with Hilary. Actually, I'd probably vote for McCain because I think he's one of the few that have spoken the truth whether is helps one side of the aisle or the other. We need a strong President again, not another braggadocio like Bush.

To usurp from you: how do you qualify this?
How is she "the poster girl for the liberals?" Remember: I am a liberal, and I don't see her as one, but rather she is a populist. Again, the folks at AirAmerica does not see her as a liberal.

Why did you offer this? What does this have to do with her being "the poster girl for the liberals?"

How do you know that? Are you a Democrat, or are you in the Democrat leadership? I know that Rush Limbaugh has said something similar, but how do you know this?

IMO, she goes with the flow. Though she might be liberal personally, I think that, politically speaking, she is a populist.

    1) I disagree. I think that if the GOP has a conservative nominee in 2008 that it will be Mitt.

    2) Lots of us. Social issues don't override everything else for me but for those who base their support on social issues I expect that they will flock to Mitt as they won't have a realistic alternative in the GOP.

Everyone needs to bear in mind that no one other a candidate who has been a governor or or a vice president has won the presidency after 1960. Unless Al Gore runs there will be no vice presidents running. And among the governors it is clear that Mitt has the only realistic chance among them of being elected. We will see if 2008 continues this trend of the past 11 presidential elections.

I think the reason for this is that the presidency is an administrative job such as being governor or vice president. Senators have lots of votes that they end up having to defend. Governors accomplish things for their states like Mitt did for Massachusetts when he was able to bring liberals, conservatives, and moderates together to pass an innovative health care program that will serve as a model for other states to emulate.

I agree. I really don't think that she has any desire to run for elective office in the first place.

Doesn't it bother you that she is now trying to look like a Christian? It will fool many believers if she is successful. She will become anything she can to fool the voting public, except the liberal socialist she is.

You sure are judgmental in your viewpoints about others.

Did God give you some special gift that enables you to know exactly what is in each person's heart? If so, I suggest you start with your own heart.

BTW, I have no reason to doubt the Hillary Clinton is a Christian, but then again, I don't have the luxury of your special insight.

It certainly would help if you had that information. Hillary is NOT the "poster girl for liberals." Remember: you just heard that from a liberal. There is no way that Hillary came up with a more liberal voting record than Feingold, Kerry, Kennedy or even Schumer. And as for AirAmerica, they are NOT fans of Hillary, other than Al Franken perhaps. I am not sure about Randi Rhodes, but Seder doesn't like her, Garafalo didn't like her, and Malloy didn't like her. If they are trying to make her "more palatable," then please show me where they have attempted to do this. You write in very authoritative terms on this subject. Do you listen to AirAmerica?

That is not really an answer. Are you going by what you have read, or your own personal experience? You seemingly write in absolute terms, but you aren't really providing any evidence for you claims. If it is indeed "common knowledge," then you shouldn't have any trouble providing us with links to this information.

No more than it did when the current POTUS started doing the same thing back in 2000. Remember: they are all POLITICIANS and will do whatever it takes to get elected.

Well, if she is pro-death and anti-family . . . why would she want to claim being a Christian?

    Hey Wayne,

To a two-issue voter, that would probably be the perception.
What will those two-issue voters do if Rudy gets the nomination as GOP candidate in 2006?

Get ready for the standard answer for liberal Christians who check their Biblical principles at the door to the polling place.

" I don't base my vote on a single issue" or something along those lines.

Anti-family? She's not and it's silly to say she is.

She is pro-choice, but moderate. I don't know where she stands on the death penalty.
