Well, again, it is fine time you quoted truth, but you just COULDN'T stop there could you?

So your an Independent Fundamental Baptist are you?

Could say a few things about them.

But I will leave vengeance in the Hands that it belongs in.

Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    God Bless

Hmm...and you state authoritatively that this verse does not say "to reserve being punished". That's funny, I thought that you had some other proof or examples. As far as I am concerned, unless you have this construction somewhere else with these words, you don't have much of an argument against it other than it doesn't fit with your theology.

I guess when you ignore the evidence and specifically this verse you could come to that conclusion. Or you could realize that this says "to reserve being punished" and fit that somewhere in your theology.

</font>[/QUOTE]I tell you what, you prove to me that there is judgment for the wicked prior to the Second coming and the Great White Throne, and I will believe that the dead are living in hell, being punished.

Otherwise, your argument is moot. The dead have not been judged yet. Therefore they have NOT received their reward.

Like I said, no matter how you break this verse apart, and make it say what you want it to say, to support YOUR theology, it remains to be seen elsewhere in scripture that the dead have already received their reward.

    God Bless

    Neal,

Are you willing to leave it at that?

By your silence may I assume that you cannot?

No, actually I haven't had time to spend on the computer and I still don't. I am a husband, full time seminary student, work at UPS, and a youth minister, so I don't have much time since classes have started back. One day when I have time, I will look at what you ask. Until then, have fun! I don't hope to change your mind anyway, it is already set. So is mine. So all this is actually very futile.

Just a quick response, I have never once said that they have received their 'reward'. That is you. So you think that, I don't. So there you go, problem solved, let's go home.

Yes, we shall. [IMG] Have a good time here, in all seriousness. And despite my major disagreements with you, I respect you greatly.
