Woeful Record of Superbowl losers

    I posted this in another thread, but the more I thought about it, I wondered what you all thought the reasons for the team that was supposedly the second best in the NFL for failing so badly in the suceeding year.

    Here is a list of superbowl runnerups since 2001, note only the seattle seahawks actually MADE the playoffs the year after losing in the superbowl!

    2001 Giants
    2002 Rams
    2003 Raiders
    2004 Panthers
    2005 Eagles
    2006 Seahawks
    2007 Bears
