Even kids know it's wrong to hurt a baby...

I posted the first one if I was raped by a white man...# 2 if it was someone outside my race....as that would be evident when the baby came. I wouldn't want people thinking I had an affair or the child feeling like they never belonged. I may still raise it but it would be harder...I think.

Why would the race of a child's father ever come in to play in such a decision?

I don't know, to me if the child looked more like part of the family than people wouldn't be so judgmental....the child wouldn't be teased....I wouldn't be called an adulter....along with anything else society could come up with. Not like I am going to go around telling everyone I was raped when explaining why my child doesn't look like us. I could say he was adopted...but then that would be lying wouldn't it?

Good question. I find that a bit odd.
So let me get this straight. You would wilfully give up your own flesh and blood to be raised by strangers based on the child's race, rather than raise it yourself and deal with people being judgemental? So if a working mom puts a kid in day care to be raised by strangers to make money, then that's wrong, but for you to let strangers raise your kid because you don't want to deal with people judging, that would be okay??? What's up with that???

As a man, if my wife were raped by ANY man, WE would gladly raise that child as our own.

How about it ladies, I assume from what G2G is saying that you would all agree with her?

So would we no matter the race of the man who fathered it. My flesh and blood is my flash and blood, a child is a child, no matter the color.
But with attitudes like we've seen on this thread maybe it would be best if a child in that family was adopted after all the racests who dislike it's color are going to be it's own family.
No, I do not understand one bit.

    Good,

I'm glad its not a man/woman thing. My wife thought it absurd to make the race of the rapist a determining factor.

This child would still be our child, absolutely no doubt.

I work as a counselor in a Christian pregnancy crises center...counseling women and families. And the majority would differ with you and side with me.

But then again they are not people on a board who are set out to prove one wrong are they ? ;)

Everyone who disagrees with you is not out to prove you wrong.

The majority of Christian women are racists, saying that the race of a rapists would be a determining factor in whether or not to raise a child? I find that very difficult to accept. I have more faith in Christians than that.

No the majority of women and their husbands see what is best for the child and their family...if finding them a better home is the result of that...then what is wrong with that decission ?

Don't play the race card....it has nothing to do with this...at least not that anyone is a racist.
I above all am not !

I apologise for posting in anger with the "racists" comment.

Race does come in to play however, as you admitted above. This may not be racism, but is certainly not seeing all people the same.
