Apology accepted - even from a British perspective the Northern Irish are different, and that is true for each constituent part of the UK, one of the joys of being British.

Anyway, on to more interesting things. I just loved some of the chants at Windsor Park on Wednesday night. Apparently when all the English superstars came out to preen themselves in the pre-game warm up the N. Irish fans sang "Who are you?" As England struggled they sang "We're not Brazil, we're Northern Ireland!" and "Can we play you every week?"

    I'm lovin' it. :D

BTW the London Times today (9/9/05) carries a notice in their deaths column announcing the death of "English football at Windsor Park on 7th Sept 2005. The body has been cremated and the Ashes given to Northern Ireland"

Of course they will qualify, and probably do very well in Germany 2006.
