to participate and post on the Baptist Board?

I would never tell a brother or sister in Christ, who is not white to read posts here at the Baptist Board. In fact, I wouldn't recommend this site at all at this time.

I wish that a person in authority would write up a biblical response to racism and comments that exhibit racist thoughts.

Perhaps I expect too much from Baptists, given the long history of racism in American churches dominated by white leaders. Perhaps it is too much to ask from this community.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this site as a place to converse about anything political or social in nature. What I have recently read is extremely disappointing.

I will refrain from response on this thread after this initial post.

Would you recommend this site to people of color?

Absolutely not. Nor to white people. I can't even recommend this cesspool to myself after the past couple of weeks.

You seem somewhat self-righteous and sanctimonious. Not saying that you are...just saying that your post here looks like a self-righteous, sanctimonious post.
I recommend this site to people who seem to enjoy varried discussions such as what we have here. Most social media types go to "Face Book" to express their thoughts and concerns about things. I happen to like "Baptist Board" and have no problem recommending it to any Christian, black or white.

Please expound on the racism dominated by white leaders?

    Sure why not.

I will just say that I find this place to have engaging discussion that allows me to grow. That said, if someone posts something clearly unChristian report them, that's why its there. This website has very strict rules of decorum, and the Mods seem only to respond to reports of unChristian posts. That what I was asked to do by a Mod.

Lately emotions are running high, though. Current events are some of the darkest this country has seen in a long time. If "Christ has left," it is only because open anger between Brethren is murder according to scripture. We need to maybe step away or switch topics until our shortened fuses get longer.

Since I have been on here I've only visited other sites at the request of other brethren and I don't recommend them either... That's why I'm still here... Brother Glen:)

This may be the most leftist exemplifying thread ever started on the BB.

For the OP to make biased accusations and then declare His resolve not to defend His perspective is classic Holier-Than-Thou Snowflakeism.

Christianity requires discipline. Perhaps that's why the scriptures called the followers of Jesus Disciples. Perhaps that's why the multiple melted away when the LORD so eloquently informed the multiple of the dedication required to be His disciple.

Christianity has never been about Christ conforming to the worldly Snowflake whims of men.

I would. Its honest dialogue. Honesty and openness create enviornment for change. Being all nice and P.C. accomplishes nothing.

I think some of the snow flakes need to study the true definition of racism. Granted it eas many moons ago, but the definitions I learned for racism in Sociology do not cover 95% of what the snow flakes cry racist about today.

Would I invite a black friend to the BB? My decision has nothing to do with the color of his skin but the maturity of his faith as we encounter diverse (sometimes unbiblical) beliefs. But there is value in exploring opposing positions.

I do not mind encountering racism on a board as it is an opportunity, just like any other sin, to offer God’s words on the subject.

Racism is more than social injustice. It is sin, and it is a direct affront to God. Racism is an attack on the image of God that has been given to every one of us by the Creator. Racism rejects what God has done by refusing to acknowledge the image of God in the other. As such the fight against racism concerns everyone. In the past Christians have been part of the problem, so as Christians we need to be part of the solution. The world's "solution" is often to respond to hate with hate. But the biblical solution is different. The solution has to be Christ-centered.

    Scripture gives us the solution.

We love, because He first loved us. If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. 1 John 4:19-21

    This is true.

My son was talking about systemic racism in our nation. I asked him for an example. He had none. What he was talking about and what is called "systemic racism" today is the consequences of past systemic racism. I think that we can acknowledge that some people have to overcome hardships due to past systemic racism. But those are situational, not racism itself. They resulted from past injustices that cannot be changed (they happened). The World's solution is often to implement systemic racism in order to repair the results of past systemic racism. This cannot work (it is just as unjust as the consequences of injustice it seeks to mend).

What we have today is individual racial prejudices (for a variety of reasons). When people act on these racial prejudices against another person it is racism. And we have the consequences of past systemic racism. But ideas about race and racial differences in and of themselves does not constitute racism. Those ideas are wrong when applied to an entire group of people (regardless of race). But it is not racism.

More specifically, Racism is thinking your race is superior simply based on race.
For example some might say: Blacks are always better than Whites in basketball.

    No.

Now tell us how another discussion board worth recommending erases the deficiencies of Baptist Board.

And here we go again. Anyone disagreeing with the usual opinions on BB is labeled a leftist, Marxist, liberal, communist, etc. etc.

A new numbering system for faulty arguments in political and/or general topic threads would exhaust the character limit imposed by the available space for signatures.

But this would have to be #1:

    1. I don't have a convincing rebuttal so I'll just call you a dirty, rotten Marxist, socialist, Antifa sympathizing liberal.

Yes, as what we have to agree upon is not BLM as many of them in the movement have chosen to identify it as being , as ALL human life matters, but we must keep the emphasis upon Jesus as Lord, and THAT alone is what can solve the racial divide today in America!

I will not kneel down to BLM, and act as if I was into slavery, but will stand with any Brother of any color as one in Christ!
