What if? What if the electors ended up being unfaithful and cast their votes for Romney when they meet in December for the Electoral College! Wouldn't that be a hoot?!!

If the stock market keeps tanking, it might be considered, huh?

Wouldn't that be a hoot and the last laugh?

    Just sayin'......

Maybe the fat lady hasn't sung yet, after all.....

I would love it but it will never happen. Not that I'm hoping tough times for Americans, and I do think they are coming, but a health care disaster and a financial melt down may be the best amunition for the GOP. Sometimes it is painful to get the attention of ignorant voters, that may be what we need.

According to the Gov web site:

    No Legal Requirement
Electors in these States are not bound by State Law to cast their vote for a specific candidate:

    ARIZONA
    ARKANSAS
    DELAWARE
    GEORGIA
    IDAHO
    ILLINOIS
    INDIANA
    IOWA
    KANSAS
    KENTUCKY
    LOUISIANA
    MINNESOTA

    MISSOURI
    NEW HAMPSHIRE
    NEW JERSEY
    NEW YORK
    NORTH DAKOTA
    PENNSYLVANIA
    RHODE ISLAND
    SOUTH DAKOTA
    TENNESSEE
    TEXAS
    UTAH
    WEST VIRGINIA

Where there is life, there is hope.

The fat lady has sung. The show is over. Time to be as gracious as Gov Romney, get over it, and move on.

Some time back, I read an article on faithless electors. In the states that do have laws, that does not stop an elector from changing his or her vote, and the vote stands. It is just that the elector can be prosecuted by the state. The exception is that Minnesota and Michigan can invalidate the vote.

It would not be a hoot, it would be a disaster. The system, once again, worked the way it was designed. I am grateful that the electors chosen would never pull such a disastrous stunt.

I am grateful that, as a US citizen, the system has worked for 225 years and will continue to work.

Besides that, except in one instance in all of American history, only one electoral vote has been moved at a time. For example, on the Dukakis-Bensten ticket in 1988, one elector from Oklahoma switched the ticket and Bensten got one vote for President and Dukakis one vote for VP.

The fat lady hasn't sung till the electors vote. The electors are a check on the population. If they vote their consciences against the state, they have served the purpose for which they were created.

Think about it Lady, if this was to actually happen, what would the libs do. They would burn this @^#%$ down as their immoral ad displayed this year. Could you imagine, they said they would kill Romney if he won. Heck they probably would kill every conservative if this happened. I could see this much more a possibilty if it was the other way, if Romney had won.

It might result in a shooting revolution.
