I am writing a letter to a Baptist church with lesbian pastors. I want to speak the truth in love. I am not confronting the sin of a female being a pastor but rather another sin that I won't mention which is far more serious. Ideas tips on what to say? Perhaps Ann or another can write the letter for me. As always I will also include gospel tracts and for this one the tract audicity by Comfort. This one speaks the truth in love. Thanks. But maybe I should also include the Tract on true and false converts by Mike Gendrin. Should I? It's great to mail to false teachers and churches.

I wouldn't even engage such a church. Evangelism is individualistic, so you may want to talk to those folk one at a time as God ordains the opportunity. But the idea of writing to such groups seems wrong to me.

I wish I could help you Evan but I just don't agree that this is something that should be done. I don't see how this could be effective and change a heart. God needs to do that and most of the time He does it through a relationship. I suggest you read "Confessions of an Unlikely Convert" to see how evangelism in this kind of a situation should be done. Interestingly enough, that relationship also started with a letter.

Does not Mark 16:15 say to preach the gospel to every creature? That's what I intend to do. Also why do they make tracts that seem intended for false teachers?

Or I could write it and warn them of their eternal doom.

Maybe ask them to explain why they hold tha God allows for Lesbian relationships, and get a feel for why they feel way they do?

I don't know that anyone could help you compose a letter in which you confront a sin that you won't mention.

Preach. Not write a letter. Not send a tract.

The same word used in this verse is used in some of these other verses as well:

Matthew 3:1 "In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,"
Matthew 4:17 "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Mark 16:20 "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
Romans 10:15 "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

Is this church in DC? If so, I just read the WaPo article on them.

I just looked it up on their site:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...nt-d-c-baptist-church/?utm_term=.3f36f8b8b895

“We look for the best people in the world and that’s who they were,” said Carol Blythe. “We’re very excited.” (a spokeswoman for the church)

"“We have found it so easy to fall in love with Calvary and its long-standing commitment to be a voice of justice and compassion for those who perpetually find the wholeness of their humanity disregarded and maligned,” the couple said to the congregation Sunday, according to the church."

So there is not one word here about God. Interesting. I bet I can hear more about God at the yacht club than at this church.

So have you ministered to the deaf? I have. I worked today with two dear deaf men - one of whom is one of our pastors. None of them hand out tracts to the deaf either. They go to them, sit with them, talk with them and love them. The deaf are one of the most unreached people group in the world.
