    That did not seem to be "the" Wycliffe version with which I am familiar. It looked updated and modernized (aka KJV revisions of the AV1611 - they are somewhat similar but not in any stretch the same).

    What's your thinking?

    I don't know. I'm not at all experienced with the Wycliffe New Testament. I did look up several passages via the link that I posted above and enjoyed reading the text. However, I did think that it was very NKJV "feeling."

    Isn't the Wycliffe translation based upon the Latin Vulgate (which is all Wyclife had available to him at the time)?

    Isn't the Vulgate considered a poor translation based upon inferior greek texts?

    Thanks for any info on this..
