Thirty-five years after she led a suicide attack that killed 38 Israeli civilians, the legend of Dalal Mughrabi lives on in the Palestinian territories, where she is venerated as a heroine.

Among other signs of devotion, children sings songs of praise about her and a government sponsored dance troupe bears her name.

“We grew up in school on the personality of this Palestinian female fighter,” Jordanian actress Najla Sahwil recently gushed in a television interview. “In first grade, I was throwing stones. In school we were nursed on the politics of Palestine, when we were little kids."

With the veneration of a dead terrorist being consecrated by the government, it is really difficult to accept the claims of Hamas and Hezbollah that they are not terrorists, but freedom fighters. It proves that the attitude and behavior of terrorists isn't an isolated minority political movement, but is a matter of culture and upbringing. The Palestinians are a nation of terrorists. And there are actually people who want them to be allowed to share the Holy Land with Israel? That's nothing short of insanity and ignorance.

The statement in 2012 -- ignored by the western media -- by Jericho District Gov. Majed Al-Fatiani during an assembly at a youth camp named for Mughrabi should be a clue for anyone with any understanding whatsoever: "it is our national obligation to be faithful to those before us who gave and sacrificed for Palestine, and they should be a beacon for us in our activities and in guarding the achievements and capabilities of our people." Capabilities? To do what? Reign terror on the world? It appears to be their chief export.
