I ask that this thread be closed.
I can't believe it was ever allowed to be started on a message board that claims to allow people of all hair color to post.
I find it very offensive, and the liberal attitudes shown here may cause some blondes to stumble if they visit their local orchard.
I'm out of here, and all I can say is that if it IS allowed to continue, I hope that all can at least agree that we should save the baby mosquitos.

at least agree that we should save the baby mosquitos.

Which raises the question; Why on earth are poor mosquitoes accused unjustly of biting when in fact they drill?

    Cheers,

    Jim

It goes back to a marginal note from St. Ignoramus, who suggested there were two possible readings of the Greek in the most famous ancient authority on mosquitoes, "What Be the Buzz?"

Ignoramus translated it as "bite," but admitted "drilling" was also possible. Ignoramus was certainly aware of the concept; he had invented a hypodermic syringe but stopped using it because all the medical authorities kept needling him about it.

</font>[/QUOTE]Ignoramus was a fly loving heretic who let his translation be influenced by his belief that flies were equal to baby mosquitos.
AND I heard the only proof for the syringe was a needle found in a trash can at a local clinic that hired questionable physicians.
Point is, well, at the end of a needle.

Generally, that's fine, but occasionally I wish you wouldn't.

Gina, you're obviously repeating the canard perpetrated by Clueless the Younger, who willfully misrepresented Ignoramus' work on baseball -- "Angels in the Infield" -- to be about insects.

The hpypodermic episode, though not as well attested as his invention of the treadle-powered juicer, has been accepted by all the ancient sources, including St. Virulent, who maintained Ignoramus' work to be "Verily, a shot in the arm for the men of medicine."

Point at the end the needle, eh? Does that mean the thread is at an end?

Here I am late again for a very important discussion that I had quite a lot of nothing to say about everything.
But (that is my Pastors favorite word in the Bible) I am so glad to have read all of the interesting information. Especially about the apples.
