You think it is bad in the good ole USA?

    There is a proposed change to the Irish Constitution which claims that the State is the 'guardian of the common good' and that in 'exceptional circumstances' where the 'safety or welfare' of a child is threatened the state may 'endeavour to supply the place of the parent.'

    Last night, while trying to garner support for a 'yes' vote, the Minister for Children and Youth said that 'the home is the least safe place for a child.'

    This is a country where state supported church institutions abused children for decades!

    That is the typical liberal mindset. Parents are seen as a danger to kids and the state is so much better suited for the raising of kids. That is seen most often in the arena of education.
