Only way to eliminate the money changers is with a one world currency. <G> I suggest the new currency be called the workhour. One workhour being the amount of work one person can do in one hour on a pile of pea gravel. This is close to a universal constant.

Yeah, and try to figure out how to trade workhours among different types of labor and skills. This would be a problem that would require a defined currency of some sort to be able to "price" one type of labor vs. another.

For crying out loud, all we need is a free market exchanges. Naturally, gold, silver, copper, and other metals would function as currencies and certificates and electronic representations of these would facilitate easy exchange, provided that no one is allowed to commit fraud.

The only reason that anyone objects to sound money is that one has the contrived notion that a central authority (a few elites over the larger populous) must have some kind of ability to rob purchasing power from everyone so that they can do what they want to do.

If so our money would have to be revalued maybe 100 to one. A kid with a dollar would have one cent new money.
