    What is your favorite part about your youth leader. and is it that some leaders you think should improve on.

    What I like most about my youth leader is that he'll pretty much adopt anyone who comes in the door. He is the Christian father figure I never had. He drives me home from youth all the time, and is just a good-humored nice guy.

    The best thing about my Youth Director I like is that he is not afriad to tell it like it is. He often preaches sin killen messages, to the which I thank the Lord for.

    Well we don't exactly have a "Youth director." One of my dear friends teaches our youth class, and I like the fact he has a firm stand for God's word. He's young, but he knows so much about the Bible, and does a great job teaching...lol, let's just say he's come along way since he first started the class! I never would have had his patience, that's for sure!
    The man who used to do the youth is the dad of some of my best friends. His wife has been one of the best godly examples in my life. He's kindof humble, and won't take credit for anything he does. One of the moments when he taugh youth really sticks out in my mind. I'd just gotton saved, wanted to go wittness, and had no clue as to how it was done! So he had the youth class {basicaly his three kids and myself} teach me how...and THAT was interesting!
    Then there's my pastor who's over all of us, and who's patiently answered many questions from me these past four years.
    He's uncompromising on Biblical standards {Praise God} and truely cares for people and wants to see them saved.
    I know he must be patient cause he's put up with me for fifteen years, and even lets me call him "Grandpa preacher." {Long story}
    There is this one time that kinda makes me laugh now, but at the time I cried.
    I'd been at the church on a Tuesday night cleaning. I'd finaly gotton the auditorim done, I was asked to do the bathrooms. To make a long story short, I'd never cleaned bathrooms before and ended up completly using a new, huge bottle of highly concentrated Clorox on about 12 toilets! The church smelled awful. Wenesday night, everyone had a good laugh when they found out why the church still smelled bad. After the service I just cried. I told pastor maybe I shouldn't try cleaning at the church anymore since I seemed to make things worse than before.
    He just laughed and said "The only people that make mistakes are the ones that do anything."
    A few weeks later he came up to me after a service and asked if I would clean bathrooms saturday. I was shocked. The people standing near me snickered and asked if he was sure he wanted to subject the church to my cleaning capobilities. He just said "She can do it."
    It was something very simple, and he probably forgot all about it, but I just couldn't beleive he was going to have faith in me again even though I'd failed. Reminds me of my Saviour...who still wants me to serve Him even when I make mistakes and stumble!
    I praise the Lord for all these dear folks in my life, who have been a godly example, and who've taught me right, and who've not givin up on me. Don't deserve any of them, but God has surely blessed me by just knowing them!
