I think the US will have to work hard to re-establish its presence near China, too.
As it is, we are in the process of pulling out US bases from Okinawa and Japan and bringing them to Guam.

 

This is certainly not as bad as the wimpy response to the capture of the Pueblo, or the equally wimpy response to the mid-air collision of the Chinese fighter and the navy re-con plane.

Frankly, we have been on the downhill slide, from an international perspective, since Truman refused to let Gen MacArthur cross the Yalu in pursuit of the Bogey MIGS a half century ago.

We have almost become a "paper tiger" in the last several years, and if the liberals (both D & R) keep up their trashing of the constitution, the "almost" will be "ARE"!

If it's not already too late, the '10 elections just may be our last grasp at, and gasp of, freedom and military supremacy.

Then let's see who responds to all the natural disasters as quickly and completely as the USA does. Answer?--- NOBODY

The only people who will be happy about our demise at that point will be the terrorists; who then will have only nominal resistance to their actions.
