Can you guys pray for me as I go to a meeting soon about part of my job at church? I'm stepping down from working on the website and will be meeting with two people who took the website to give the final decision. I think they think I'm going to keep this job after I gave my resignation but I'm not. It's a longish story but bottom line is that I do not want to be involved anymore because of some issues and I just need wisdom to speak the right words, a hand over my mouth when I shouldn't speak the words I want to say and for me to be able to get my feelings across without sounding like an angry kid. :) Thanks!

God kept my mouth shut so I don't regret anything I said. I could have said a lot more but I didn't. It's official - I have stepped down from working on the website and didn't burn any bridges - as much as I wanted to. LOL

It seems we had very similar meetings today...only I resigned membership to take effect on 1 May. I handed my letter to the senior pastor, having cleaned out my office yesterday, and simply said, "I am sorry it had to come to this. This Sunday will be our last at (insert church name here)." I had to work hard to keep my letter on task and respectful...and honest. It would have served no real purpose to unleash any pain or frustration in it.

I am glad you were able to have your meeting and that it appears to have been done in a manner to honor our Lord.

Oh goodness!! That HAD to be tough - especially since you had an office at church, meaning that you had a job. To quit and leave a church is a big step and I know it was one not taken lightly. Trust me - I know.

I said to my husband when I came home that I'd rather regret NOT saying something than having to regret saying something. There was one point where I was ready to say something but God told me to "shut up" so I did. :)

I'm praying for healing and peace for you and your family.
