It is amazing how one can dismiss "not of works lest any man should boast" and embrace a heretical doctrine of Salvation apart from faith in Christ.

John 1:9 and Titus 2:11 support my position.

You are a liar and a whitewashed tomb.

I was trying to show that God makes provision for those who have never had a chance to come to faith. Romans 2 does that; so does John 1:9 and Titus 2:11.

    You slanderer, liar, and hypocrite.

I didn't make this up. We are spiritual descendants of the Baptist, Anabaptists, and Celtic Christians.

No one can read our Principles and say that we are not orthodox Christians.

God will call you to account for writing lies and slander about me and our communion.

And you are a pretender, a whitewashed tomb, and the truth is not in you.

You are a slanderer and a liar.

I have twice been compared to Satan in this thread, and I have twice been called a cult leader of my own made up cult.

It has been said that a person's salvation cannot be questioned here. This goes way beyond that. So, why is this being allowed? Is it because the views of those doing it are shared by the board admins/mods? If that is true, then there is no way that I can expect fair and equal treatment here. And, further, if that is true, I will start defending myself in the same way that I've been attacked. If I get banned for doing that, I won't then be surprised, and that will tell me all I need to know about this place.

I defy anyone to read the CAC Principles and say that we are a cult; if you do, your words are straight from the pit.

I think you don't have much room to talk. Are not these your words that follow:

And you are a pretender, a whitewashed tomb, and the truth is not in you.

You are a slanderer and a liar
    .

    You slanderer, liar, and hypocrite

You are a liar and a whitewashed tomb

and the list goes on and on!

His accusations of us lying are unfounded, seeing that his false beliefs (some of which annsni posted) are on his website.

And notice how he says that Romans 2, John 1:9 and Titus 2:11 agree with him? Far from it.

His doctrines are a result of private interpretation of the Word of God. An interpretation that twists the truth into a lie.

I already posted Romans 2 and see that there is no salvation listed that is apart from Jesus. So let's take a look at the other verses:

John 1:9 says "The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world."

Does this light mean that everyone is saved? Let's look a little further in the passage to see what it is saying:

verses 10:13 " He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."

Interesting - to those "who believed in his name". That is salvation in Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:11 says "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,"

So does Michael say that everyone is saved? That this verse says that "all people" means everyone who has ever lived? Then God is contradicting Himself.

Let's take a look a little further into the letter to Titus:

Chapter 3, verses 4-7 tells us "But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Once again, we see that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ - not through any other method.

If it were true that John 1:9, Romans 2, and Titus 2:11 proved the archbishop's case, then Jesus was lying when he said:

Matthew 23:15 (KJV) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

After all, the Pharisees were good, were they not? They were continually doing good, seeking eternal life (Rom 2:7)... yet Jesus said they were children of hell and leading others to hell.

All our righteousness is filthy rags before the Lord. If we are not robed in the righteousness of Christ, we are filthy in God's eyes. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

Sorry archbishop, your doctrine is not in agreement with God's Word... it is in total opposition to God's Word.

I have read through the thread.
You can state that the moon is made of green cheese (It is interesting to note that there was a time when people actually believed that). But that doesn't make it true. You have not demonstrated by using those Scriptures a case that they do make a provision for those who have never had a chance to come to faith. You just blindly believe it. Blind faith is no faith at all.

According to the New Testament, faith in Christ is the only way to enter eternal life.

Jesus is the Door. Try to enter by any other means and you are a thief and a robber. Archbishop is training thieves and robbers with his doctrine.

Two differences: (2) I didn't start it, (2) What I said is the truth.

Yes, salvation comes through Jesus, and all the verses I listed prove that through Jesus, God in His mercy and justice made provision for those who never had a chance to hear the Gospel or know of Jesus. Some of you have already affirmed that by mention of OT "saints".

John 1:9 affirms Romans 2: That God judges those who have never heard on the use they make of the light they have -- and everyone receives a measure of that light, as John 1:9 teaches.

It is in complete agreement with God's word, as the Quakers, John Wesley, Anglican F. D. Maurice and the original General Baptists affirmed also.

All the scriptures I posted make the case. John 1:9 and Titus 2:11 affirm Romans 2. There are more, but why should I post them to blind leaders of the blind?
